Google Scholarship Application is ongoing


Google Scholarship is a once-in-a-lifetime chance. It is only open to qualified international students who want to study in the United States or Canada with other smart people.

However, if you don’t know the basic requirements for obtaining scholarships abroad, then we advise you to read the requirements before proceeding.

The Generation Google Scholarship was established to provide assistance to students. That is, students pursuing degrees in computer science.  This helps them achieve success in the field and go on to become leaders.

Students who are chosen to receive this award will receive $5,000 CAD (for students studying in Canada). $10,000 USD (for students studying in the United States) for the 2022–2023 academic year.

Generation Google Scholarship 2022-23

The Generation Google Scholarship will be awarded to students who succeed academically and have exhibited leadership potential. Also, those who have a strong commitment to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in their communities.

Students who are sure they can meet the program’s requirements should definitely send in an application.

Particularly those individuals that identify with historically underrepresented groups in the IT business. This includes women, Africans, black/African American, Hispanic/Latinx, American Indian, and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander individuals, amongst others.

For the academic year 2022–2023, candidates do not need to be enrolled in an associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree program in order to be considered for a Google Scholarship. The following scholarships are eligible for this waiver of enrollment requirements.

Generation Google Scholarship: for women in gaming, Generation Google Scholarship: for supply chain and fulfillment, Google Lime Scholarship, Google Student Veterans of America Scholarship, Women Techmakers Scholarship for Computer Science, and Women Techmakers Scholarship for Gaming are not eligible to reapply.

Who is qualified to submit an application?

In order for applicants to be taken into consideration, they need to fulfill the following requirements:

1). Have the intention of enrolling full-time in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree program for the 2022-2023 academic year. These must be at an accredited college or university in either the United States or Canada, or ). You must be enrolled in an undergraduate program leading to a degree in computer science, computer engineering, or another technical discipline that is closely related to it.

3). Demonstrate that you have a successful track record in your academic endeavors.

4). Provide evidence that meeting this financial obligation is essential to you.

5). Show leadership and a commitment to improving the representation of underrepresented groups in computer science and technology.

The steps that need to be taken in order to apply for the Generation Google Scholarship 2022-23 for Nigerians and others:

In order to be considered for this position, you will be asked to complete an application that is submitted online and contains the following information:

  • General background information (for example, contact information and information about your current and prospective universities)
  • Information about your household and its inhabitants
  • Resume/CV
  • Copies of your academic transcripts from each of your previous and current institutions of higher learning (if you are currently enrolled in a program) (if you have previously earned a degree)
  • Responses to three essay questions should be as brief as possible.
  • Recipients will be selected on the basis of the overall strength of their essays and application materials in relation to the other candidates in the pool.
